REAL FADO CONCERTS
Real Fado celebrates Fado - National Song listed as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO - at astonishing venues in Lisbon.
The name honors its mother house - Príncipe Real - a neighborhood that combines romantic gardens with the latest trends in gastronomy and fashion. In an informal atmosphere, lasting one hour, these intimate concerts are a pleasant pre-dinner program.
Pavilhão Chinês
Rua Dom Pedro V, 89
THURSDAYS AT 7PM
In one of Lisbon’s most iconic bars, Fado is presented in its purest and most traditional form. The Pavilhão Chinês, with an irreverent decoration with inumerous collection pieces, is like a cosy living room - intimate and informal - where Fado is sung.
Reservatório da Patriarcal
Jardim do Príncipe Real
FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS AT 7PM
An astonishing venue and unknown to many. An underground water reservoir from the 19th century, once supplied by the Águas Livres Aqueduct and programmed to serve Lisbon's downtown area, now hosts Fado music. Its natural acoustics create a unique atmosphere for this experience that takes place underneath Príncipe Real’s Garden.
